It all started when Kathy walked into a laundromat in 2023. She saw someone trying to cram five loads of laundry into a single washing machine. When she approached and heard their story, she realized just how heavy the burden of laundry could be.

Washing and drying a single load averages $10.50, a cost many struggling families simply can’t afford. Some go months without washing clothes. One parent shared that even though it was already December, they were washing their children’s clothes for the first time that school year.

That moment sparked the beginning of Laundromat Love, a nonprofit committed to making clean clothes accessible and tackling hygiene poverty at its roots. Since then, we’ve grown to cover laundry costs, provide hygiene kits, and offer kindness and hope to those who need it most.
