Our Story
It all started when Kathy, the founder of Laundromat Love, stepped into a laundromat, and what unfolded was a life-changing experience.
She noticed patrons struggling to gather enough quarters to wash their clothes. Some lacked soap, while others overloaded single washers with multiple loads - doing what they could with what they had. She saw more than laundry; she saw people carrying burdens, financial, physical, and emotional.
That day opened her eyes and her heart. She came face-to-face with hygiene poverty: the heartbreaking reality of individuals having to choose between being clean and meeting other basic needs.
Moved by compassion and a calling to act, Kathy founded Laundromat Love in 2023 - a grassroots effort to love our neighbors and serve our communities, bringing hope to those we meet in the laundromats.
We are rewriting someone's story with a clean shirt, a confident self, and a full heart!

Laundromat Love is dedicated to bringing hope and help to those we serve in the laundromats. Leaving individuals with clean clothes, essential hygiene products and a renewed spirit.

Our vision is that every laundromat will be alleviated from despair and that hygiene poverty in America will be eradicated.
Our Team
Our teams are compassionate volunteers who walk in love and a listening ear. We provide the quarters and detergent needed to "lighten someones load" so each person leaves with clean clothes, a hygiene bag filled with essential hygiene products and a renewed spirit.
